Iron Infusions | Bright & Well, Halifax

You’ve been tired in a way that bloodwork keeps calling normal.

If your ferritin has never been properly checked or if oral iron hasn’t moved the needle- iron infusion therapy may be worth a real conversation. Medically supervised. No referral needed.

Is This You?

You’re functioning. But the fatigue sits in your bones. Your hair is thinning. Your motivation is flat. You’ve been told your iron is fine, but hemoglobin alone doesn’t tell the full picture.

Low ferritin can look like exhaustion, brain fog, breathlessness, and a mood that’s harder to manage than it used to be. It often gets missed on standard panels. And oral iron, for many women, simply doesn’t absorb well enough to fix it.

Iron infusion therapy is a well-established option when supplements haven’t worked and at Bright & Well, the process is straightforward, medically supervised, and built around your actual results.

How It Works

Your consult with Amber Your starting point is a consultation with Amber Landry, our Registered Nurse. She’ll review your symptoms, health history, and bloodwork to assess whether iron infusion therapy is right for you. Available in person at our Halifax clinic or by phone- whichever works for you.

Physician review with Dr. Ouellet If iron infusion is appropriate, you’ll have a brief phone consult with our Medical Director, Dr. Roxanne Ouellet, MD. She’ll issue your prescription.

Pick up your prescription Your iron medication is filled at your local pharmacy and brought to your infusion appointment.

Your infusion + follow-up bloodwork We take care of the infusion and arrange follow-up labs to confirm your levels are moving in the right direction.

What It Costs, No Surprises

The consultation fee is $489, paid upfront. This covers everything: Your RN consult, Dr. Ouellet’s physician review, pre and post bloodwork, and your infusion sitting fee.

The iron medication is separate, typically $500–$600, filled at your pharmacy. Many extended health plans cover this. The DIN is 2477777– you can use this to check your coverage before you book.

We don’t direct bill. Any reimbursement is submitted by you directly to your insurer. If pre-approval paperwork is required, bring it to your consult- Amber can complete it with you.

If you’re not eligible after your consult, you’re reimbursed $235. You’ll won’t pay for a service you didn’t receive.

A Few Things Worth Knowing

Most patients only need one infusion. We’ll know more once we see how your levels respond.

You’ll need to have trialed oral iron for at least three months before proceeding. If you started and stopped for any reason, just be ready to share that at your consult- it’s useful context, not a disqualifier.

Normal hemoglobin does not mean you’re ineligible. We look at your full iron panel alongside your symptoms. That’s what gives us the full picture.

You’ve waited long enough to feel like yourself again.

We are here when you’re ready. No referral needed. Consultations available in person or by phone.
